WEEK I

Principles & Practices

The first week into Fab Academy started with and introduction to the basics of GitHub repositories. There was an active discussion on advantages of utilising MarkUp versus Syntax. A markup language is a computer language that uses tags to define elements within a document. It is easily readable consisting of standard words, rather than typical and technical terms from programming Syntax.

The first task being relatively familiar also felt quite challenging because of having no exposure to any sort of programming languages and concepts in the past. With a brief exposure to Git, I had moved to Webflow to learn website designing and classes in an easier and understandable way. Navigating the content and documentation through this website in an easily understandable way was always one of my priorities. But now feels like a good time to get a hang on the basics of workflow in Git in a practical manner. The balance between the design, curation and workflow of this website is expected to be explored through this week.

A few of the documentations that got me fascinated:

1. Lynn Dika - Authenticity and Navigation 🔍
2. Diego Díaz Gómez - Curation and Simplicity ✏️
3. Roger Anguera - Explorations 💡
